Jane: Hi folks! Very tiring walk today but weather held off. Long day tomorrow and we shall have to creep out of our dormitory (which is full of 16 year old Spanish children) very early to cope with the distance. We are both very tired now and because we know the end is near, it seems to make each day a little harder.
To be positive, however, Charlotteś spork splint is working and whilst her wrist is very swollen and painful, it is not getting any worse.
We hope to do a proper blog in a couple of days as we need to share with a very strange and continuous occurance that we have not yet told you about.
This is very brief as circumstances dont allow for á longer blog.

ReplyDeleteonly 2 days and 26 miles to go - no more big hills or high walking. As your incredible journey draws to a close I just wanted to say:
1. Thanks for all the blogs. They've given us a glimpse of your experiences, and have kept those of us who have missed you 'in touch' - and hopefully through the comments a bit of vice versa too.
2. I hope its been a 'good' Journey for you both - the walking, the cultures, the friendships, the 'domestic arrangements', the physical variety, the spirituality, the setbacks, and, of course the weather - to mention what must be just a few of an amazing set of experiences.
3. Enjoy your entry to Santiago, it will be a proud moment for you - enjoy the moment and reflect on what has been a fantastic achievement, and then have a really good celebration.
4. I've missed you like hell, but wanted you to 'do it'. And now you've 'done it' I can't wait to see you and be with you again
And a final statistic....... we have used over 20,000 words in the texts between Jane, Charlotte and Henry over the past 5 weeks - a small book ! - and the word most often used ( apart from prepositions etc..) is..LOVE !!
